Speaking of announcements, Dollhouse has just been greenlit for season 2-- The second season will premiere Friday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Series creator and executive producer Joss Whedon will write and direct the episode that will set the stage for Season Two.
Eliza Dushku stars as “Echo,” an “Active” in a highly illegal and underground group of individuals whose personalities have been wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. Confined between missions to a secret facility known as the “Dollhouse,” the Actives are hired by the wealthy, powerful and connected to wholly become – with mind, personality and physiology – whomever the client wants or needs them to be. Whether imprinted to be a lover, an assassin, a corporate negotiator or a best friend, the Actives know no other life than the specific engagements they are in at that time – or do they?
Always ready for a cliffhanger to keep viewers on their feet, or should I say, the edge of their seats? It’s going to be an amazing time in TV this fall, with LL Cool J starring in NCIS: Los Angeles and Mr. Bigg (of Sex and the City Fame) playing a politician who cheats on his wife in “The Good Wife.” A show which turns the tables on what happens when the wife gets scorned. Rather than stand-by and play “The Good Wife” she takes her life back into her own hands as he heads for the slammer! Yet, she finds herself back at her profession of law, and in a shark tank with a bunch of younger, hungrier professionals.
In movie news, Laz Alonso who starred in Spike Lees Miracle at St Anna is getting ready for a press run for the DVD release of Fast & Furious, which hits streets on the 28th of this month.
In Fast & Furious, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam with Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster for the ultimate adventure in unfettered speed. This version of the film is the pre-cursor to the other two (The Fast & The Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious).
