The article goes on to "blah blah blah" its way into apologizing for at least some of these abortions and indicates that because there is easy access to the procedure more people do it. Give me a $%^&ing break ARIEL KAMINER of the NY Times. With a population as large as NYC the rates of just about EVERYTHING are going to seem astronomically higher. You know what else? Women have the right to choose - at least now - and I think if they are acting responsibly about that choice and not bringing UNWANTED CHILDREN to life here on Earth, that is a good thing. Who in NYC could take care of 90,000 additional unwanted babies every year? Will you be doing it ARIEL KAMINER?
There is no need to apologize or to implicate access to facilities as being the cause of abortion when it all comes down to choice. If these women did not want to have these children, and there was nobody else to take care of them, what kind of monster would want them to endure a lifetime of pain if they were born?
